Done the dog in the pastel section, I enjoyed it love paintng dogs, used a set of Derwent Pastel I have had for a while but never used, they are not bad but wear down quick and not that good at sharpening.

I’ve just joined the course and I’m hoping to learn a lot. I only started drawing last month and I’m really enjoying it. This is my second attempt at drawing an eye, and the learning material is excellent on youtube cant wait to see whats in the course. I’ll be starting the course soon.

Studio Community 9 months agojust finished my Owl in Pastels. The pastels were not to bad with this Black Pad. With pastels I like to use Pastel mat, but I did not have a black one also it is very expensive,

For your first drawing after more than five years, this is impressive. The eye shape is clean, the iris has depth, and the eyelashes have a nice natural flow. You clearly didn’t lose your touch 👍
