Butterfly and cat
Thanks to Ali Haider,
Helped me greatly with my dilemma, now I can’t stop springkling charcoal
I used carbon black charcoal powder , 8B, 3B, HB, pencil eraser, highlight Pen for butterfly wing tip and nose shade and whiskers, this is closest I have been to realism drawing, I still need a lot of patience as experts will notice I tried to walk out of some parts!!!!

This looks amazing Abbasi! You’ve pushed the textures really well, especially around the nose and the whiskers. The butterfly wing highlights are clean too.
And trust me, noticing the tiny areas you want to fix is actually a good sign it means your eye for realism is improving fast.
Keep going, your patience is paying off beautifully!1-
@alihaiderrehman very kind words from you all the time, could you also kindly point out where exaxtly I could focus more currently ?

Hey Abbasi! 😊
Since you asked where to focus next, I had another careful look at your drawing. Honestly, you’ve already nailed the hardest parts. The textures on the cat’s face, the fur direction, the nose, and especially the butterfly wing highlights all very well done.
If you want to push this even further, here are two small areas that will make a big difference:
First, deepen the shadows in the lower cheek area and under the chin.
A little more contrast there will make the cat’s head pop forward and add more depth and realism.
Second, soften a few transitions around the forehead and between some fur clumps.
You already have strong details now a tiny bit of smooth blending in selected spots will balance the sharpness and make the whole piece feel even more refined.
These are minor improvements. Your work already shows serious patience and skill. Keep going you’re improving fast! 🔥🎨1-
@alihaiderrehman that’s more like it. Thanks for your feedback. A funny story I like to share, I have an assistant who is a very creative thinker but his feedback are always based on criticism, though creative, but criticism more than positive feedback. Contrarily, you’re all positive 😄, a bit of details on missed out points is always appreciated. Sometimes we don’t have the eye to point out where we lacking. Thank you for your feedback. I’ve always sprayed this one but I’ll surely keep work on them longer to try to make them better.

Hey Abbasi! Haha I get what you mean. Every artist has that one person in their circle who gives feedback like they’re judging the finals of a competition. It’s helpful… but sometimes a little too sharp 😂
My goal here is to keep things positive while still helping you see the small areas you can improve. You’re already progressing fast and your attention to detail is getting sharper with every drawing.
And yes, keep spending a bit more time on those tiny areas before spraying. Those little touches are what take a good drawing to a great one. You’re on the right track just keep going! 🎨😊
