Hi! I’ve just started the course today with the eye for comparing at the end of the course. Great fun! I have played with a few tutorials on YouTube but decided that this course and realism was the way to go. I really like using a thin pen style rubber to remove graphite, great effect. The one I have doesn’t seem to have the same effect, maybe I need a thinner one! Anyway, here’s my eye👍

This is a really strong start, well done 👏
Keep this drawing safe with you and compare it with your final drawing at the end of the course. You’ll be surprised by the progress.
For the lashes, try fewer strokes with more confidence. Group them into small clusters instead of drawing them one by one, keep the base darker, and let the tips fade lighter. Also vary the length and direction slightly so they don’t look too even. This will make them feel much more natural and realistic.1-
