We recently took the Academy public. For about a year, this has been a closed community while we built everything behind the scenes, and we just switched on public indexing. That means over the next few weeks, you will start seeing the Academy in Google and other search engines, which is a big step for us.
Going public also meant hardening…

Cheryl, so good to see this one after the flu and the flat patch. You pushed through and finished, and that counts. Those wings are beautiful, the colours are really rich. And the pattern reads so clean, which is not easy with a butterfly. Lovely to see your spark back.

Akanksha, this is a wonderful first attempt, and I would never have guessed it was your first portrait. You went from basic drawings straight into a portrait and came out the other side with something real. That took nerve.

Muhammad, nice work. The spots are convincing and the form reads well. One thing to push next, soften that shadow transition. Right now it jumps from light to dark quite fast. Fade it in small increments, lighter pencil and lighter pressure, and the banana will sit on the surface instead of floating above it.
