Sketching My Childhood Hero – Mr. Bean! ✏️❤️
Some characters never leave your childhood, and Mr. Bean is definitely one of them! ❤️
I grew up watching him, and he has always been one of my favourite characters. Today, as I’m learning pencil sketching, I decided to bring my childhood hero to life on paper.
This sketch is more than just practice for me; it’s a little tribute to the character…

Well done Muhammad. A wider range in values would make your drawing more commanding.👍

Muhammad, this made me smile. The raised brow and the hair already read as him, and I can tell this one came from a real place, not just practice. Drawing something you love always shows. Keep this one, and keep going.

Can I Turn My Passion for Pencil Sketching into a Career?
Hi everyone,
I’ve recently started learning pencil sketching, and I’m interested in pursuing art as a career. My goal is to become a portrait artist and eventually earn a living through my artwork.
I’d love to hear from experienced artists or anyone who has built a career in this field. Is it possible to make a sustainable income through…

Muhammad, good question and I am glad you asked it here instead of wondering quietly. Short answer, yes it is possible. It is not easy and it is not fast, but people do make a living from portrait work. The ones who make it are the ones who kept drawing when it was not paying yet. Welcome aboard.

From Tutorial to My Own Sketch ✏️
This time, I decided to step a little outside the tutorial and try something more advanced on my own.
It’s not perfect, but I’m happy that I’m starting to experiment and challenge myself. Every sketch is another step forward. 😊
I’ve also added my signature and the date to the sketch as a little record of my progress.
Would love to hear your…

Looking good. Especially the spots. I would work on the shadow. Make it less abrupt.

Muhammad, nice work. The spots are convincing and the form reads well. One thing to push next, soften that shadow transition. Right now it jumps from light to dark quite fast. Fade it in small increments, lighter pencil and lighter pressure, and the banana will sit on the surface instead of floating above it.

Landscape with shapes
This is my first attempt at drawing without using an eraser after watching the Landscape with Shapes video. Please share your feedback and suggest some tips to help me improve.
-
That looks good Muhammad. Time to move on to the next tutorial.👍

Welcome in, Muhammad. First go without an eraser and you kept the whole scene readable, that is a big step. That kind of confidence is what moves you fastest, so keep going and keep posting. Glad to have you here.
