Can someone help me? My Mono eraser doesn’t erase anything—it just messed everything up

This can happen for a few reasons, and you’re absolutely right, Erika 😊 Pressure is one of the main ones. The Mono eraser works best when graphite is applied lightly and built up in layers if the pressure is too heavy, the graphite sinks into the paper and the eraser will smudge instead of lifting. I too have this problem, I maybe try cotton wool instead of kitchen towel which might be too rough .
