Actually, this drawing was completely created from my own imagination, from the idea itself all the way to the final execution. It’s not from one of Ali’s tutorials, and even the technique is quite different from the one he teaches. 🙄If you’d like to draw it, I truly don’t mind if you use my image as a reference. It’s not as precisely refined as Ali’s drawings, so I’d actually be very curious to see what you would create from it. 😊
And yes… this girl definitely looks like she has a few wild stories to tell. 😉

When I draw, there’s always a moment when the character slowly starts to come alive. At some point, I no longer feel like I’m just drawing lines and shadows, it begins to feel like a real person is emerging on the paper, looking back at me and reflecting emotions, memories, and personality traits that I consciously or sometimes unconsciously gave them.That’s why I’m especially curious to see who will look back at me through your version of the “Smoky Memories” lady. I have a feeling she may reveal something completely different through your hands and imagination. ✨

I really love the composition, the title, and most importantly the drawing itself.
You’ve captured the character so realistically, and there is so much emotion in this piece. It truly feels like she has lived a full and complicated life. The, expression, and smoke all work beautifully together to tell a story.
