Hi Ashok, your eagle really looks great. I think a little more contrast in values would be striking.👍

Ashok, you certainly are building confidence, and it shows! 😊
This is a beautiful study. I really like the feather texture around the eye, and you’ve done a nice job capturing the sharpness and intensity of the eagle’s gaze. One small suggestion would be to push the darkest values a little more around the eye and beak to create even… Read more -
Hi @Jit I agree with larry. A little bit more contrast and it would be perfect IMHO.👍

That’s my weak point, the contrast. I’m working on it. Thanks all. all credit goes to my instructor, respectfully Ali.

Really cute dog 😊

Nice

I like the dog very much. I think some of the “detail” may have been lost due to blending, but i actually like the “softness” it gives to the drawing. It makes the dog “feel”/appear soft and fluffy. The facial expression of the dog is also really friendly. Well done.

Cat

I cant help you with the eraser question but wanted to say i love the cat. Especially the eyes.

It will get better with practice but i see a lot of beautiful white hair in your drawing , looking natural and realistic, specially in the face it’s really good

It looks nice. I’d say just practice. My eraser skill is still not perfect but learning more each time I do a tutorial. Could you describe the exact problem. Why is it “hard to control”? I find it hard in the beginning and I find I have to hold it with a bit of force to make it steady compared to non electric like mono zero type

Hi Ashok, your cat drawing looks very good. My advice on learning to get good results with the elect eraser and also the mono zero eraser is practice, practice, practice.
Brush some graphite powder onto a blank sheet of drawing paper and start practicing. You can use the flat sharp edge to make very fine lines or you can sharpen the eraser to…

Hi Ashok! First of all, your cat is looking really nice. The soft fur and gentle shading give it a lovely appearance. I do think the overall drawing is a little light, so don’t be afraid to push the darker values a bit more to increase the contrast.
As for the electric eraser, don’t worry. It takes a bit of practice to control. Try holding… Read more1- View 1 reply

Final Eye
Well, I finally finished my final eye. I enjoyed this assignment a lot, still I am having problems trying to get a darker Black. Any suggestion ? I submit my before and after.

congrats for completing the course

Ashok, first of all, you’ve made excellent progress from the earlier version. 😊
The improvement in the eyelashes, iris details, and overall eye shape is very noticeable. You should be proud of how far you’ve come. As for getting darker blacks, the secret is usually not a darker pencil but more layers and patience. Try building multiple… Read more

Very well done Ashok. The only comment I might have is that your drawing could have a stronger range in values. Darker shadows and lighter highlights. Overall I think it is very well constructed.👍😊

Het zou over het algemeen inderdaad donkerder kunnen maar verder is het uitstekend gedaan Ashok! 👍🏼
-
This was definitely a challenging project, especially with all the water droplets and subtle skin tones, but you stayed with it and finished it. That persistence is what helps artists grow. Excellent effort, Ashok. Your passion definitely shows through in this piece. 👏Keep it up, and take Larry’s advice into consideration as well. 😊

Looks pretty nice. I’m not yet that far in the course. But as Annemie said maybe a little bit more contrast between the table and the objects IMHO. But you don’t have to take it from a starter as myself. I find it once again pretty good and charming.

Good proportions and nice contrast on the guitar. Well done

Nice work Ashok.
Your lips look super good. The only suggestion I can give is to soften the line of the upper lip.😊

Hi Ashok 😊
Very nice work. The overall form reads well and the lips already have a soft, realistic feel 🙌
For improvement, try pushing the darkest areas slightly more, especially in the center line and the corners of the mouth. That will add more depth and contrast. Also, keep the skin shading around the lips a bit smoother so the lips… Read more1- View 1 reply
