| About Me/Bio |
I’ve loved drawing since I was a child and was always told I had a natural gift for it. However, many years ago, I abruptly put my pencils away after a deeply unsettling experience that I didn't know how to explain at the time. While intensely focused on a drawing, I accidentally slipped into a profound neurological state called 'transient hypofrontality'—essentially a hyper-advanced 'flow state.' My analytical mind completely shut off, and my subconscious and muscle memory took over, making my hand move entirely on autopilot without my conscious direction. Because I didn’t understand the science behind it back then, watching my hand draw 'by itself' freaked me out enough to stop art entirely. Now that I know it was just a natural quirk of deep artistic immersion and high focus, I’m no longer afraid of it. After many years away, I’m incredibly excited to safely step back into the zone and start my creative journey again!
