This was very enjoyable to draw. It was nice to watch all of the little details turn a blank piece of paper into something of interest.

The detail in the bee’s fuzzy body is incredible, and the textures and shading give it a real sense of depth. The delicate wing veins are beautifull, and the contrast throughout the piece makes it really stand out. I like it very much.-

@Tony Thank you Anthony. I just started drawing a “Southern Double Striped Walking Stick” today on 24”x18” paper. It should end up with a lot of details. It is very rewarding to watch the fine details fall in to place as the drawing proceeds. These are details you would not normally see if just looking at the insect.

Insects are always such fascinating subjects to draw. I love all the tiny details they have, and you’ve captured them beautifully here. The wings look wonderfully delicate, and the textures on the body are very convincing. This is a lovely study, and I can imagine it was just as enjoyable to draw as it is to look at. Beautiful work!
