Het rechte en golvend haar zien er super uit! De andere 2 hebben nog wat oefening nodig 😉👍🏼

Hi Tony
Drawing hair well, takes a lot of practice. You have a very good start. You will find that every hair drawing you make will be better than the last. Ali has some great tutorials on drawing hair. 👍

nice drawing anthony 👍

Anthony, nice work getting through the hair section. The straight and wavy hair are reading well. For the messier styles, try grouping the hair into a few larger shapes first, then add only a few loose strands on top. That should help them feel less tangled. Hair takes plenty of practice, so have another go when you can. You’re off to a good start.

quick question, does anyone know why the photo you send over of your drawing looks not very good lacking in detail etc. When you click on the drawing and another page comes up it looks like the original photo, more detail and sharper.
hope someone can let me know or if not how to take a better photo
-
@Tony I got the opposite. Maybe the number of pixels of your camera or light source? Check maybe the settings of your camera and have a look in a photo viewer in full resolution. My two cents. 😉

Hi Anthony! 😊 That’s completely normal, and it’s actually how the community is designed to work. The images everyone uploads are often very large and high resolution. If we displayed every photo in full quality directly on the community page, the website would become much heavier, pages would take much longer to load, and it would use a lot… Read more

My first drawing for a long time now, not too sure about the new pencils.
my shading and mono eraser work still needs to be sorted out, this was drawn freehand and not on the grid method so there are some inaccuracies
Really glad it is finished it seemed to take forever

Really good Anthony. Seems very well done especially free hands. I’m myself still struggling with the lantern but think to have it finished in the upcoming days. Congratulations 👏

Very Good, I like it.

Wow Anthony, this is amazing. Your proportions are spot on and the whole lantern looks like you just shined it up with a polishing cloth.😊

Great free hand detail. Congrats on the outcome, it looks really effective.

Hi Anthony 😊
Nice work on the metal study, the reflections are coming through well.
Going for the lantern next is a great idea, it will really level up your understanding of materials.
Keep pushing your darks a bit more for stronger contrast
Looking forward to your next piece 👍2 -

first time back drawing after about a month, my arthritis in my hands as finally got a bit better.
tried out yet another brand of pencils mars lumograph black, they are quit hard and do not blend as well as others, but they are definately a lot darker with no graphite shine, it is a pity they are not nice and smooth like hi uni’s

Hi Anthony
Welcome back. Your drawing looks great. Sorry about the arthritis in your hands.👍

Sorry to hear about your arthritis. Great job though.. keep going at your own speed and comfort level and hopefully the joy of art will help relieve your arthritis a bit.

Hi Anthony 😊
Great to see you back, and really glad your hands are feeling better.
Nice work here, the texture is coming through well and you handled it with good control.
Those pencils can feel harder, but they’re great for deeper darks like you noticed.
Strong comeback, keep going 👍🔥2 - View more comments

Nice fur drawing Anthony. I am anxious to read Ali’s critique.

Anthony this is really nice work 😊 I can clearly see you paying attention to the direction of the fur strokes and that’s exactly the right approach. One small suggestion would be to vary the pencil pressure a little more so some strands appear darker and some lighter. That will create more depth and make the fur look even more natural. Great… Read more

Hi Anthony
That looks great for your first attempt. I will be anxious to hear Ali’s cretic.👍

Wow… and that is your first attempt. Looks great.

Anthony this is such a strong first pastel attempt! 🔥 The colors are vibrant and confident, and I really like how smoothly you blended the yellow into the orange. The eye has a beautiful highlight and gives the bird life. For next time, you can push the contrast a little more around the beak to add extra depth. But honestly, for a first try,… Read more
