Louise, nice piece of homework. The thing I would push next is the darkest dark. Right now the shading sits in a comfortable middle range, so the form reads soft. Louise, no detention, this is exactly what the lessons are for. And look at what you actually did there. You scribbled, saw it going wrong, and then solved it by putting a closer mountain in front of the mess. That is what real drawing is, nobody draws it clean the first time, they just fix it better. Recommendations pls
Evening all,
Are there any recommendations from Ali’s turorials for my level of complete novice, need a rest from my eye masterpiece😁 thank you in advance. I appreciate thwy are grades but id be interested to hear what people think. Dont mind the cost or length. X

Hi Louise, I’m new here but I would suggest going through step by step even if you know what’s being explained. A refresher is never a bad thing and putting the time in to practice is fundamental in order to progress your skills. I’m self taught and can become lost in frustration, but Ali’ course is helping me refresh the fundamentals.…

Louise, welcome. Fun is the right word for it. Three pages of scribbles and shapes and you clearly enjoyed the doing of it, which is exactly how it should feel at the start. Keep sharing it here, we like seeing the practice pages.
