Blindfolded Woman
Finally finished this piece! ✏️ Definitely learned a lesson on this one—I accidentally used a 2H pencil for my grid lines, so depending on the angle, you can still see a few faint lines peeking through. Overall, really happy how it came out though!

Hi Taylor
Your drawing is excellent. This is not an easy exercise and you have compleated it very well. This is one to be proud of.
How many hours did it take to draw this?

@larry Thank you so much, Larry! I appreciate it!! I’d guess around 20 hours total—chipping away at it in little pockets of time after work and between family stuff.
I saw your outline posted as well—it looks amazing so far, looking forward to seeing the finished piece!

Taylor, this came out beautifully. I love the softness of the fabric folds and how those pearls catch the light. You really made them sit on the page.
And hey, you already found the most useful fix for next time. Grid lines with a 2H are sneaky. They dig in just enough to survive the shading and then suddenly show up when the light hits them. Softer graphite or a lighter hand for the grid, and you are golden. But honestly? You pulled this off so well that those few faint lines barely take anything away from the piece.
20 hours in pockets of time after work is real dedication. You should be proud of this one. Well done.1-
