I feel the paper is a bit too thin ( Strathmore Sketch 300 series, 50lb. ), the guitar strings feel a bit ruined after the indention tool, but we shall see. <br />This is probably going to take at least a few days!</p>

While working on the drawing, I focused especially on the delicate details of the hair, and the subtle tonal transitions. Another study that was both a technical challenge and a pleasure to create.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m about halfway through this portrait. The hair took quite a bit of patience, especially creating the highlights by lifting graphite with an eraser. It was challenging, but I&#8217;m happy with how it&#8217;s turning out.</p>
<p>Right now I&#8217;m focusing on the skin tones and contrasts, carefully building the shadows and highlights to bring out the facial features&hellip;</p>

<p>I&#8217;m working on the Wednesday portrait and I&#8217;ve run into a problem in the darkest hair sections. At this stage, I&#8217;m applying a very dark 8B graphite layer and then trying to lift out individual hair strands with an eraser.</p>
