My first attempts at drawing with pencils and learning how to sketch. My first lessons and my first mistakes, mistakes I can learn from.
While drawing the cherries, I noticed that I was pressing the pencil too hard, which made it difficult to create the final highlights with an eraser pencil 🙁
Even so, I’m starting to feel a bit more confident. I only started learning 3–4 days ago

They look really good for someone who has only started 3-4 days ago!

As Cheryl said, impressive. Give you time. It’s a learning process. Everyday again and again………👍

Hi Filip
Your drawings look very very good for just starting. Listen to Frederic; “Every day again and again”.😊

Filip, first of all, welcome to the community! 😊 It’s great to have you here. Honestly, for someone who only started drawing 3 to 4 days ago, this is very impressive. You should be proud of yourself. I can already see that you’re observing your own work carefully, and that’s one of the fastest ways to improve. You also identified exactly what happened with the cherries. Pressing too hard in the early stages makes it difficult to lift highlights later, but that’s a lesson every artist learns. From now on, try building your values gradually with light layers, and you’ll have much more control.
The eye looks great, and I especially like the iris and eyelashes. The cherries have a nice sense of form, and your shading is already creating a three dimensional look.
Keep going. If this is what you’re producing after just a few days, I’m really excited to see where you’ll be in a few months. Fantastic start! 👏1-
@alihaiderrehman Thank you for your kind words they’re very motivating. I’ve really gotten into sketching, and I was looking for something to keep me busy while also learning a new skill. I’ve always admired people who could draw, so I finally decided to give it a try.
