I feel that’s the best way to learn! Even if the lesson feels too easy or too difficult there’s nothing to lose by practicing the fundamentals or pushing yourself outside your comfort zone

Hi Sabine
That is a great question. If you start at the beginning of the “Pencil Drawing Masterclass, you will learn all the fundamentals to become an excellent artist. The tutorials are designed to build a strong foundation for drawing. Each lesson prepares you for the next lesson.
If you skip around on the lessons, you will find out later on that you have missed some important techneques. The lessons are fun and very rewarding to draw.
My suggestion would be to listen to every word Ali has to say in the tutorials and watch every stroke of the pen he makes. This is golden information for any want-to-be artist.👍

Sabine, yes. Draw every lesson if you can, but here is the part that makes it count: do not worry about making it perfect. Worry about noticing. Ask yourself what feels different this time. Is your shading smoother? Are you seeing shapes instead of symbols? That noticing is where the real learning lives.
Ryan and larry already said the good stuff too: the lessons stack, and the fundamentals you build early become the tools you need later. So if a lesson feels easy, speed up. If it feels hard, slow down and draw it twice. There is no race. The goal is not to finish the course. The goal is to finish the course a different artist than you started.

@brederodesabine1_trs That is great Sabine! Welcome to Prime! you are going to love the full library. Starting fresh lesson by lesson is a smart move. One small habit: after each drawing, jot down one thing you noticed. Maybe how the pencil felt, or a shape you saw more clearly. That tiny reflection stacks up fast. Enjoy the journey!
