My first pastel pencil portrait. Took about 3 weeks and this was not the first attempt haha

That time definitely paid off, John. The colors and expression are spot on especially for a first pastel portrait. It really doesn’t look like a “first attempt” at all 👍 It looks like you enjoy experimenting with different materials 😄 that curiosity is a big part of growing as an artist. Keep it up!

@alihaiderrehman Thank you so much for your comments. To be honest, I had tried several times to do this portrait in graphite, only to fail multiple times with the white fur/hair. I used pastel pencils out of necessity more than anything else
