Getting there slowly this A2 is Huge. I’m using Faber-Castell Matt graphite pencils on this one something different, but I’m really enjoying how they handle. When I reached the forehead, I stopped following the tutorial and just went for it on my own. So far, I think it’s turning out pretty good.

Taking on an A2 piece is no joke, and the way you’re handling those large smooth areas shows a lot of control. The dark tones around the mouth and the contrast you’ve built so far are really grabbing attention, it already feels very expressive. I also like that you stepped away from the tutorial and trusted your own instincts on the forehead. That’s actually where real growth starts, and it’s clearly working for you.
Just keep going with the same patience, especially when blending those big areas and refining the transitions. This has the potential to turn into something seriously impressive. I’m excited to see the final result 👏2-
