Studio Community 5 months agoI´M MAKING PROGRESS STEP BY STEP
Hello everyone, I'm back again posting the latest exercises and they have really helped me a lot to improve my pencil pressure and create good shadows without leaving streaks.

Hi LILIANA 😊And it really shows 🙌
You are building your skills exactly the right way, one step at a time. Looking through these exercises, I can clearly see better control, smoother shading, and much stronger understanding of form and perspective.3- View 1 reply

Well done Liliana. It is pretty obvious to me that you will be creating some impressive drawings soon.

Looks like you’re doing really well with the shading and pressure control. You transition from light to dark are great!

Pressure control is what I’m struggling with. To be consistent anyways. I have the impression it has also to do with the fabric of the sketch paper. Some doesn’t take the graphite as it should be IMHO. Nice work to look at.

Hi Frenky 😊 welcome to the community
Excellent first skill test. The eye shape is very well constructed, and your iris texture looks fantastic 🙌
I also like the subtle veins and the clean highlight in the pupil. Those little details add a lot of realism.
One small tip, try softening the shading on the lower eyelid a bit more so it… Read more6- View 1 reply

Hi V 😊
Great work. You’ve captured Harry’s expression and hairstyle really well 😊
A little improvement is still needed in the facial proportions and contrast, but the likeness is already very recognizable. Well done, and keep practicing 🎨👍2 -
This one I still need to do but yours is great IMHO.

Your lips look super good. The only suggestion I can give is to soften the line of the upper lip.😊

Hi Ashok 😊
Very nice work. The overall form reads well and the lips already have a soft, realistic feel 🙌
For improvement, try pushing the darkest areas slightly more, especially in the center line and the corners of the mouth. That will add more depth and contrast. Also, keep the skin shading around the lips a bit smoother so the lips… Read more1- View 1 reply
