Studio Community 7 months agoI also tried out a hand but then i used white charcoal pencil instaed of white pit pencil. So the texture didnt really blend in well.
Please recommendations on where to get white pit pastel pencil if you know🤗

Nice work David, well done.

Nice work!
I have been able to use the faber castell Pitt pastel white, the derwent drawing Chinese white and Conté à Paris sketching pencils. If it can help you 😊

Heel goed gedaan deze hand! Kijk eens bij Amazon ze hebben daar een uitgebreide collectie materialen.

Nice hand study David 👍
The structure and the folds of the skin are reading well. Hands are not easy and you handled the forms nicely.
For the white pencil, try Faber Castell Pitt Pastel white or General’s white pastel pencil. Both blend much better with graphite than charcoal pencils.
Keep practicing hands like this. They’re great training… Read more1 -

Second sketch, first lesson done! I loved it! The music relaxed me, I took my time, but it was a real pleasure to begin my learning. My husband joined me after work, we both shared this moment, and here’s our work! The photo of my husband’s sketch didn’t turn out well… I’ll have to start taking photography lessons 😂

Hi Elodie
For your first lesson, you and your husband are doing very well. My guess is that you and your husband both will have a lot of fun and enjoyment learning from Ali.

Welkom samen en heel veel plezier met het leren hierzo, het begin is goed!👌

This is a beautiful start 😊
I love that you shared the moment together. Learning art like this makes the journey even more special.
Your eye has nice detail in the iris and the lashes are flowing naturally. Great control for the first lesson. Keep enjoying the process and drawing together. That’s what makes art fun 👍🎨3 -

Een lippenoefening om te kussen Larry haha, heel mooi gedaan 👍🏼

Nice 👍
The volume is reading well and I like the texture lines you added on the lips. That helps them feel more natural.
Next step is to soften the shading above and below the lips a little more so the transition into the skin feels smoother.
Great. Keep exploring different lip shapes 😊🎨2- View 1 reply

Studio Community 7 months agoMy 1st try. Flower
Hello everyone,
I discovered Ali on his YouTube channel, and here we are. My husband and I decided to draw this flower. I’ve never drawn before, but I do mixed media/scrapbooking/painting. My husband is incredibly talented.
Here’s my attempt.
I’m now going to look at the lessons to learn and practice. Have a good day/night!View more comments-
On your way with a great start!!!

Studio Community 7 months agoThe Mono Zero eraser is disappointing me. I can never achieve the clarity and whiteness I want. I can’t get sharp, thin white lines. Has anyone else experienced this? What are your suggestions?
-
when i use first experienced same, after that tried as , after 1or2 or3 strokes you need clean with emery paper.make what ever shapes with that and use it.any other suggestions from any one i too many to learn.

Ik bereik het beste resultaat met de elektrische gum, is het te scherp geworden kun je er altijd weer met je potlood overheen 😁

Have you tried cutting the tip at angle with a craft knife or box cutter or anything??
1 -
Hi Mehmet
Try laying down your graphite very lightly in layers with out adding a lot of pressure on your paper. The mono zero should work well. You can cut off the tip of the eraser with an exacto knife , or rub the tip on sand paper or put some masking tape on your drawing table and rub the tip of the mono on it. It is important to clean the…

Mehmet I understand this problem 😊
The Mono Zero works best when the graphite layer is not too heavy. If the graphite is pressed deep into the paper, the eraser cannot lift it cleanly.
Try building your shading slowly in light layers and then lift the highlights. Also keep the eraser tip very sharp by trimming or rotating it… Read more1
