the hi uni pencils show up really dark and the pitt matt pencils seem to loss their darkness on the photo, but in reality there is not much difference in the darkness onthe drawing.Can only put it down to graphite shine

Nice work Anthony. Your grain patterns really look good. You might bring out highlights with a 9B pencil or possibly a charcoal pencil.

Studio Community 8 months agoI started drawing in December last year. I have never draw anything like this or a face before. This is an excellent course and would recommend it to everyone. The picture does not do it justice struggling with the phone to get a good picture.

Hi guys, I prematurely attempted a realism portrait wish a graphite wash of hb and messed up on the base and had to erase it which seemed to just stick to the paper. I tried to recover it as best could but some things seem off. Help advise would be very appreciated.

Im certain I messed up on the gridding and proportions are a little off, I somehow got finger prints on the base that couldn’t be erased, blending was a real challenge and would love smoother transitions with the values. But im in the right place place I guess. Onwards and upwards lol
