| About Me/Bio |
My name is Edit (SEDITH), and I live in Budapest, Hungary. Creating has been a natural part of my life since childhood. I grew up surrounded by the paintings of my grandfather, who was an artist, and from an early age I found myself drawing the same subjects that he brought to life on canvas. As a teenager, I attended art school while also studying Tiffany glasswork and marquetry, experiences that introduced me to a wide range of artistic techniques, materials, and forms of expression. Later, life led me into the world of information technology, where I built my professional career over many years. Yet creativity never disappeared from my life. I continue to explore new techniques and artistic approaches, from Zentangle and anime-inspired drawing to various traditional and contemporary methods of visual expression. Today, I work primarily with acrylics, watercolor, ink, graphite, pastel, and charcoal. While realistic representation remains close to my heart, I am increasingly drawn to palette knife painting, where atmosphere, texture, and emotion take precedence over precise detail. At the center of my work are human emotions and experiences. My goal is not simply to create images, but to capture moments in which viewers may recognize something of their own lives, memories, or feelings. I believe that a work of art becomes complete when the viewer discovers within it a fragment of their own story. (https://www.instagram.com/whatimadequietly/)
