So i was thinking that i was done with this one. But now im noticing that the lense on the right side (his left side) seems shorter than it should.

Thoughts? Should i go back amd re-do thst part?

      • Hee Travis, ja ik zou dat wel aanpassen anders zou ik me er aan blijven ergeren! 🤷🏼‍♀️😅

        • I didn’t notice the lens being shorter until you said that. So I’d say the casual observer may not pick up on it. But I know what it feels like to have something like that nagging at you! Probably doesn’t “need” fixing but you could do it just for your own peace of mind. 😁 A lot of times I “fix” tiny things because I know it’ll bug me forever if…

            • Graphite Powder Question

Are there any good online shops for sourcing graphite powder of different graphite types? I can find containers of graphite powder. But I can’t find like 8B graphite powder. I’ve been just running my pencil over sandpaper to make my own when I need it, but I would definitely like having containers of it ready to go.

Travis, that sandpaper method is exactly how I make mine too 😄 You’re already doing it the artist way.

Here’s the thing about those grades. An 8B label describes a pencil lead, not powder. Ready made powder is usually sold as one ungraded type, which is why you can’t find an 8B container anywhere.

So keep doing what you’re doing. Pick the… Read more

              • I’m struggling

Im struggling with using the perfection eraser for any fine erasing. I pretty much had to do all of my erasing with this using my electric eraser. Im sure theres a good tutorial on what im missing somewhere in here?

                • Mono zero eraser is better for fine hard erasing and perfection eraser is better for soft erasing. There is indeed at least one tutorial here about this, I forgot which one. I’ll post here if I can find it.

Hey Travis, you’re not missing anything weird, the perfection eraser is genuinely one of the trickiest tools to control. The fact that you already adapted and used the electric eraser where it worked shows good instinct.

Here’s the trick that changed it for me: treat the perfection eraser like a pencil, not a rubber. Hold it near the tip, use… Read more

I think this one turned out pretty good! Something about the top lip seems off though. Thoughts?

                    • Misschien dat ten opzichte van de tanden de bovenlip iets uit het midden staat maar dat kan in realiteit ook zo zijn toch

Annemie nailed what’s bothering you: the upper lip sits slightly off center compared to the teeth. And honestly, people’s lips are rarely perfectly symmetrical in reality, so what you drew may be more accurate than you think! If it still feels off after that note, check the top lip’s edge value: it’s lighter and thinner than the lower lip,… Read more

Just joined here and gave this eye a try. Pretty happy with how it turned out! I was big into art in highschool and life kinda got in the way and i havn’t done much in a long while. This wad my first real drawing in probably 10 years.
