Finnaly The lantern Drawing
I finally finished the lantern drawing! It has been one of the most challenging drawings I’ve tackled so far, alongside the colored pencil avocado. I’m really glad it’s finished.
I don’t know if I should be proud of the final result, but I do know that I don’t want to start over again. 😄
More importantly, I learned a lot throughout the process, and that’s what matters most, in my opinion. Every drawing is another step forward.

You absolutely should be proud of this, Frederic! 😊 This lantern is one of those subjects that teaches you a little bit of everything, from metal and glass to reflections and values. More importantly, your mindset is exactly right. Every challenging drawing leaves you stronger than the last. 👏

Congratulations! This turned out beautifully, and I can definitely see why it was such a challenging project. The reflections on the metal and the transparency of the glass are handled really well. I also smiled at your comment about not wanting to start over. I think we’ve all had that feeling after finishing a demanding drawing. But in the end, it’s the things we learn during the process that matter most, and this piece was definitely worth all the effort. Great job!
