Blindfolded Woman/Patience!
Drawing the Blindfolded woman has been a real education. This drawing is like the final exam. It is a culmanation of all the skills and technics that i have learned from Ali’s tutorials. I think back to the lessons on how to shade, draw eyes,ears, nose, hair and proportions. It is all in this one, and then some.
Thank you Ali for such a wonderfully structured art course that enables us to succeed as artists with out the frustration of learning by trial and error.

So beautiful! I think it would take years for me to get this advanced…How many of Ali’s tutorials did you complete before attempting this one?

@Deb Hi Deb
I have been drawing 7 or 8 months now. I completed all of the “pencil drawing masterclass from start to finish. I listened to every word Ali said to describe his tutorials and watched every stroke of his pencils and use of his art tools. I have also drawn 3 or 4 portraits from Ali’s tutorials.
Each tutorial is a foundation for the next one.
It is such a pleasure to learn to draw from Ali’s instructions. If you really want to learn to draw, you came to the right place.😊1-

Larry, this is a fantastic achievement. I love the way you described it as a final exam because you have clearly brought so many lessons together here, from proportions and shading to the eyes, nose, ears and hair.
The dark blindfold and hair create a lovely contrast with the lighter face, which helps the expression stand out. It is a great example of how strong structure and value control make the details work.
You should be very proud of this one. Thank you for sharing your journey with the community, and thank you to everyone who has encouraged Larry along the way. Your support really matters!
