Cat in the dark
Trying to get myself comfortable with charcoal of different integrities, it turned out well enough for me to share especially the muzzle ….

@Art_by_Nicole hello Nicole, I used carbon black charcoal powder, shaded and highlighted the cat and then used paper towel to wipe out and it became misty, gradual lift up tissue towards the edge of the paper

This looks beautiful! Charcoal in dark lighting is not easy at all, and you handled the softness and transitions really well. The muzzle and whiskers are especially clean that sharp white against the deep shadow gives it a perfect glow.
Working with different charcoal grades clearly paid off here. Keep experimenting with those subtle value shifts… you’re definitely getting the hang of it. Amazing work! 🐈⬛✨
