Skill Test Drawing: Quick Eye Sketch
Hi everyone!
I’ve just started this course — I found it on Udemy, and thank you for letting me join this group as well. 😊
This is my very first image, and I’d like to keep it as a reference point for my future progress during the course. This is where I’m starting from.This style is completely different from anything I’ve learned or used before, so right now it still feels very unfamiliar to me.
Honestly, I ran into quite a few struggles along the way. 😅
The black never seemed black enough… and whenever it finally started to look really dark, the graphite immediately came off the paper and everything turned gray again. The erasers didn’t really brighten anything either — not even the electric one.
So yes… I struggled a bit. 😀
By the end, I felt like I should immediately start the whole drawing again from scratch… but instead, I decided to keep moving forward with the course because I’m genuinely fascinated by it and excited to learn more. 😊Thank you, and I’m happy to be here!

Amazing for just starting. Eye looks shiny. Good crisp eyelashes and great shading on lower lid as I can really see the fine details of the skin texture.

Your eye looks great for your first effort. Very good contrast, excellent iris, good eyelashes and nice skin texture.
Ali’s method of teaching is second to none. He makes learning to draw very pleasurable and rewarding.
