“Hello everyone! I wanted to show you my new artwork — for the first time I created a portrait completely on my own without Ali’s help 😀 I still have a long journey ahead of me, but I’m incredibly proud of the progress I’ve made since the beginning of the year! Ali, none of this would have been possible without you. Thank you for being such an inspiration and the best teacher ever!! What do you think about the portrait? The model is my beloved grandmother on her 80th birthday!

First of all, you should be incredibly proud of yourself. Creating your first portrait completely on your own is a huge milestone, and the fact that you chose your grandmother as the subject makes it even more meaningful.
You’ve captured her warmth and personality beautifully. I’m sure this will become a treasured gift for your family.

I made the decision to go study art at a university in my country! Before taking this course, the thought would have never even crossed my mind, and now my dreams are becoming reality. I owe the beginning of this whole artistic journey to you!
