Project 1 complete, took me about 7 hours, but that’s a lot quicker than I’ve been able to finish my work previously, I’ve been looking for someone that uses this method, and now I’m happy, I hope you all like it.

Beautifully done. 🤩
The fur texture is very well rendered, and the contrast between the soft animal features and the detailed butterfly works wonderfully. The eye and whiskers are especially nicely handled. ⭐
Great practice piece with excellent attention to detail. 👍

Great Ronald. Never got that fur done realistically. You should tell me your secret. I followed Ali suggestions and directions but I failed. Great work.

@pacific8118 The basic point here as I have been drawing for a while is, get the base tones down first, with a brush, people are scared to go too dark, but just do it. Then go mad with the eraser as best as you can with the hair direction, go overboard, smooth it all with a brush, then go over your dark tones again, fur strokes, the more you do, the more contrast you get. I do it in stages, stage 1 basic drawing, stage 2 base tones, no pencils just a brush, stage 3 eraser, stage 4 dark & light fur tones again, repeat stage 3 & 4. That’s how I do it, I hope this helps you, keep going it’s all practice, write down how you went about it. Eventually you will be able to see more, the more you do, keep going buddy.
