Final Still Life Drawing
Started it today. Didn’t have a bigger paper so it’s 20cm x 30cm (2cm x 2cm squares). I feel the paper is a bit too thin ( Strathmore Sketch 300 series, 50lb. ), the guitar strings feel a bit ruined after the indention tool, but we shall see.
This is probably going to take at least a few days!

Your grid transfer looks clean, and the proportions seem well placed. Taking the time to get the outline right at this stage will make the rendering process much easier later on. Regarding the paper, 50 lb is definitely on the lighter side for a project like this, so just be a little gentle with the indenting tool and heavy blending. If the guitar strings don’t look perfect right now, don’t worry. Once the values, textures, and details start building up around them, they’ll usually settle into the drawing much better than expected.
Most importantly, enjoy the process. This is one of those projects that slowly comes to life layer by layer. Looking forward to seeing your progress over the next few days! 👍1 -
