"David before Goliath" - My Second Project
I never thought this would be the hardest project I’ve done. My shading skills were really put to the test. I wanted to push the contrast more, but I got too tired making all the dots and black circles. 😅 I’ll just carry the lessons I’ve learned and move forward. 💪

Kim, I think this project taught you exactly what it was supposed to teach. 😊
The values and shading are much stronger than in your earlier work, and the profile reads very well. The curls, facial planes, and subtle transitions show a lot of patience and observation. And yes, those dots can definitely test a person’s determination! 😄 What matters is that you pushed through a challenging project and came out with new skills. That’s a win every time. Keep carrying those lessons forward. You’re making excellent progress. 💙-

I can really relate to this one, because I struggled a lot with the same drawing myself. That’s why I know exactly how challenging it is to get those subtle curves, transitions, and shadows right. You should be very proud of this piece. Outstanding work! 🤩
