Thats incredible work Anastasia, can I ask if you followed his tutorial closely or if we are supposed to do it from memory on the first one? X

Hi Anastasia.
Incredible drawings. You have an exceptional talent. What you are learning from Ali just puts the icing on the cake for you.😊

Hi Rickie
That looks good. You are headed in the right direction.

Rickie, great to see you posting head structure. It is the hard one and you turned up for it. That is how the whole face gets easier later. Well done.

Nice. Good job

Jesse, nice work, the soft blending is the strong part here. One thing to push next, your values stop a little early. Take the darkest accent down further in the deepest shadow, under the chin and where the hair meets the face, and keep it small. A few dark spots like that will make the light areas read brighter and the whole face sit forward.

Studio Community a week ago🤷♂️where can I improve?
-
Hi Jesse
This is a good start. Draw your eye again and listen and watch the tutorial closely. Then compare your first and second attempts.
My guess is that you will see a great improvement. If you choose to draw the eye 4 or 5 times, you will be amazed at how well your eye will look.😊

Keep practicing. The eyes are the most difficult part, and I make a lot of mistakes with them too.

Accept the positive feedback and keep going , well done x

Jesse, good start. Drawing an eye is one of the hardest first steps and you had a proper go at it. One thing to push next, your iris is shaded evenly all round, so it reads flat. In a real eye the top of the iris sits in the shadow of the upper lid and the bottom catches light. Keep the top of the iris darker and leave a little light at… Read more

Akanksha, this is beautiful. All those little meaningful drawings around the full face, and the way the main portrait carries the colour while the messages stay black and white. I love the idea behind it. So glad you tried something different.

Akanksha incredible.. such a skilled artwork. Wow.

What a wonderful drawing and a great message. Very well presented.👍❤️

They are both beautiful and stunning art, but my eyes are drawn to the white one x

POOJA, this is beautiful. Charcoal suits you, the face has a quiet calm to it that is not easy to get. Nicely done.

Studio Community a week agoBeginners Colour Pencil Course - Doughnut
I did this one and missed out the butterfly as there wasn’t a pencil sketch or a how to draw the butterfly. I did try drawing from the reference photo, but not really skilled enough yet so found it difficult. But this doughnut was easier. Enjoyed this tutorial, but I still wish they would list the materials used and colours, But having…

miss, this doughnut is lovely. The chocolate glaze is properly glossy and the sprinkles give it that just bought look. You said it turned out okay, I would say better than okay. Nicely done.
And dont worry about the butterfly. There is another butterfly drawing in the coloured pencil section, with a proper voiceover and a full step by… Read more
