Anastasia, that eye is the one that stopped me. If that really is your first eye from when you started with me, then you have something special in your hands, because it is built properly. The lashes sit in a direction instead of being drawn as lines, the iris has real depth, and the highlight is placed with care instead of just being left as white paper. Then the portrait beside it shows you carried all of that into a whole face, and that is the harder step by far.
And I want you to notice something. Look down at the comments under this post. Ekua has come back to it more than once. Gavin said it motivated him to keep going. larry called it exceptional talent. And Louise joined only yesterday and saw your first eye and felt hope for herself. That is what you do here, Anastasia, you pull other people forward just by showing your work.
You have grown so much, and it shows. Be proud of yourself, and please keep sharing.

@alihaiderrehman Ali, I got emotional reading your comment, just as I did reading everyone else’s. So many wonderful things have happened on my artistic journey between that eye drawing from January and the one I just shared.
I know I’ll always keep coming back to this community, because the kindness, help, and support I’ve received here are beyond words.
You’re an incredible teacher, and I truly hope you’ll continue to inspire and teach others, just as you’ve inspired me and helped me grow throughout my own journey.
