@larry Thank you so much, Larry. I was actually trying to calculate how many hours I spent on it. I usually draw late at night and keep working as long as I can still clearly see the image, so it’s hard to measure exactly. I think it was around 8 hours in total. At one point, when the drawing was about halfway finished, I felt it looked far too gray and flat. I started strengthening the background with a 14B charcoal pencil, then deepened the tonal values and basically reworked many of the details again from the beginning. I definitely worked hard on this one, but I learned a lot from the process.
