Three point perspective
So far in this course, I’ve had nothing but fun, and I hadn’t done a class that wasn’t exciting to draw—until now! The three-point perspective assignment was very frustrating, and my lines were all over the place. I even started seeing lines that weren’t there. It got to the point where I stopped looking at the reference video, and around my 20th time redrawing the building, I finally felt like I understood it a bit.
My method of learning this was different from the lesson, but like I tell my students, I don’t care what method you use to learn as long as you learn it and understand what you did. I believe I have some understanding of three-point perspective, but I would definitely only try doing this using an app like Procreate because drawing straight lines and trying to keep them organized is very frustrating.

You even did an extra building, very good!
I so recognise what you say about drawing straight lines. You can use a tool but that doesn’t automatically mean the line is straight 🥴
Because of that I now use a tool that makes sure my lines are straight all the time: drawing board with a parallel ruler. I’ve got mine from Faber castell. It’s from their TK-system. If you want accurate angles you need a protractor head on that drawing board.
It made my life way easier 😂

Nelisha, this is exactly the kind of persistence that leads to real growth! 😊
Three point perspective can be frustrating at first, but the fact that you kept redrawing it until it clicked is a huge win. And honestly, the final result looks great. There is no single right way to learn. If you understand the concept in the end, that’s what matters. Keep up the excellent work!
