Hi Samar, your portrait looks great. Can you post a picture of it streight on, so the picture doesn’t look slanted?

Samar, this is a beautiful portrait! 😊 You should be really proud of this one. The likeness is strong, the hair flows naturally, and the soft shading gives the portrait a warm, lifelike feel. I’m sure it will make a wonderful gift.
Fantastic work, and thank you for sharing it with the community! 💙 - View more comments

The banana is done. Honestly, I found it more challenging than the apple. I switched to a softer makeup brush for blending, and I think it made a big difference. I also took my time with it. While the tutorial is only 7 minutes long, it took me about 3.5 hours to complete the banana. Definetly a good lesson in patience !

Samar, this turned out wonderfully. 😊
I can definitely see the extra patience in this one. The banana has smooth transitions, the form feels solid, and the blending is much cleaner. The softer brush seems to be working really well for you. Great job sticking with it and seeing it through to the end.2 -

Hello everyone! The banana is still a work in progress, but I wanted to share the apple before moving on. This took me a couple of hours but i really enjoyed the process and learned alot .

Samar, this is a great study. 😊
The form of the apple reads very clearly, and I can already see you’re paying attention to smooth value transitions rather than outlines. That’s exactly the kind of observation that builds strong realism skills. Keep going with the banana as well. These simple exercises may not look exciting, but they’re… Read more2 -

Wow, this is beautifully done 👏
The likeness is strong, and your value control and skin transitions are really clean. The eyes especially feel alive, and the beard texture is handled very naturally without getting muddy.2- View 2 replies

@alihaiderrehman hello Ali! I needed your advice about something. So it’s always easier to follow someone else’s exact drawing steps, shading, darkening and everything, but when i want to draw a portrait on my own it get really confusing, where to start , which pencil to use first .. how can i get better at this?

Samar this is so good! Honestly I’m really impressed with how clean and soft your fur looks. The flow, the direction, the contrast, everything is working beautifully here. And that butterfly is the perfect touch, it adds so much charm to the drawing.
For a first post after coming back to drawing, this is insanely strong. You’ve clearly kept… Read more1- View 2 replies
