Graphite pencil Course Final Portrait
Hi all, finally finished the whole course, this is the final protrait and a few extra photos to show the progression.
I lost patience in the end for a lot of details and I think the fixative spray ruined a few places (maybe I sprayed too much…)
I’m quite happy with the result and learnt a lot during the process.

Well done. I don’t know when i will get to this project, but it makes me nervous and excited at the same time. It looks real. I don’t know the reference pic, so i don’t know whether the difference in eye shading is on the reference, but as a complete novice that is the only part of the pic I was wondering about. Well done 👏🏼 I hope I will be able to draw as well as you one day 🎉

@Michelle Thanks! It’s not perfect but I’m quite happy with it. If you have access to the graphite pencil course, its the last part of the course. The left eye shading should be a bit darker

Looking through your progress photos is honestly one of my favorite parts. It’s amazing to see how the portrait gradually came to life, layer by layer. The final result is something you should be very proud of. The eyes are especially striking, and the values throughout the face create a wonderful sense of depth. As for the fixative, don’t worry too much. We’ve all learned that lesson at some point. 😄 The important thing is that you’ve completed the journey and gained a huge amount of experience along the way. Congratulations again on reaching the finish line. I can’t wait to see what you create next! 👏
