Bubbles
Found some really old black cardboard so decided to try this. I didn’t know normal color pencils work on black paper ! 😂 However, the layering and blending is not great with these pencils.
Paper: some random 200gsm black cardboard
Pencils: Marco Raffine Color 7100

@larry Thanks! It’s actually one of the tutorials. However I did change a few things because I didn’t look at the end product first and drew the biggest one in the middle to start with 😅

Looks very great. Didn’t know neither that you could use color pencils on black. Tried once on grey and had a hell of a time. So I thought white charcoal is the way to go on black cardboard. Very nice. 👏

@pacific8118 I did some research and people think faber castell black edition is best for black paper in the budget range. I might get some to try next time.

This turned out beautifully, Cheryl! 😊 The bubbles look vibrant, and the reflections really make them feel transparent. It’s also a great reminder that you don’t always need expensive materials to create something eye catching.
