Lesson 21: Back and Forth Stokes
This was a fun lesson for me! I lightly touched my paper and allowed the back-and-forth stroke to build up the shadow as Ali suggested. Larry, I bought a kneadable eraser so that I could take some of the graphite off for those times when I got “too happy” and “pressed my feet on the gas”.😀 I am so proud of myself because I can see the my growth☺️

Nice work! Good contrast. The drawings have 3 dimension to them. Keep it up.

Hi Nelisa, your exercise looks great. It is a pleasure to see you get excited over learning to draw. Ali’s instructions are laid out so well it makes learning to draw fun and very rewarding. You are just at the beginning of a great adventure.👍😊

Nelisha, this is fantastic progress! 😊
I am so happy to see how much more control you have over your pencil pressure. Your shading is becoming smoother and lighter, and the forms are looking more natural with each lesson. Most importantly, you can already see your own improvement, and that is one of the most rewarding parts of learning to draw. Keep going at this pace and you are going to amaze yourself with what you can create. I am very proud of you! 🎨1 -
