No horse yet… but here’s a dog
I’m progressing a bit slowly with the horse portrait following the tutorial, so in the meantime I’m posting my drawing of a dog. 🙄🐶

Looks really cool Edit, excellent drawing, did you draw it on black paper? Or did you made the background black?

@ans Yes, it was drawn on black paper. I used a white pastel pencil together with three different charcoal pencils: soft, medium, and hard. Those three charcoal grades create all the dark tonal values and depth in the portrait.
