Hey artists! I wasn’t completely happy with the woman I drew last time, although I really wanted to thank everyone for all the kind comments. ❤️
Because I wasn’t fully satisfied, I sat down and created another drawing in the same 100 × 70 cm format. This time, I’m genuinely very proud of myself. I worked from a reference photo I found online, which makes me even happier because I completed the entire drawing on my own. ❤️
Ali, without you this would have remained just a dream. Thank you for everything you’ve taught me! 🥹

Anastasia, this is a great drawing. You have captured a time and place in this weathered old man’s life. The eyes, the wrinkles, the beard, the turbin, the contrasting shading and the background are all excellent and work very well together. 👍😊

Anastasia, this is absolutely incredible! 😊 First of all, thank you so much for your kind words. They truly mean a lot to me, but you earned this result through your own dedication and hard work. I can honestly see a huge improvement from your previous drawing. The character, emotion, and realism in this portrait are beautiful. The wrinkles, beard texture, and overall value control are all handled with great care, and the eyes immediately draw the viewer in. If I could suggest one small thing, it would be to soften a few of the transitions in the forehead and beard so some areas flow together a little more naturally. Also, letting a few edges fade into the background would add even more depth and atmosphere. Most importantly, I’m so happy to hear that you chose your own reference and completed the entire drawing yourself. That’s a huge milestone as an artist. You should be very proud of this piece, and I’m excited to see where your artistic journey takes you next. Outstanding work! ❤️

Wow… this is absolutely stunning! The level of detail is incredible, especially the weathered skin, the wrinkles, and the beard. Every texture feels intentional, and the strong contrast gives the portrait so much depth and character. Truly outstanding work.
