Studio Community 3 months agoGlass of Water
I keep saying I’ll take a brake from drawing because I have other stuff to take care of but I feel I have to draw every night now. Here’s another one
Pencils: Faber Castell Pitt Graphite Matt ( last set to try for now)
Paper: Strathmore Sketch Series 300, 74gsm, not fond of this paper but it’s relatively cheap, its just a bit too thinAgain, I…

Cheryl, this looks fantastic! You’re improving with every tutorial, and it really shows. The transparency of the glass, the reflections, and the water level are all beautifully captured. I also think the overall values are much cleaner and more controlled than before. As for the jelly roll pen, I don’t think it’s overdone. If anything, just… Read more

Very nice! I love it. I should try drawing one again—I did one some time ago. You always inspire me with the drawing tutorials you choose. In the meantime, my lantern drawing is driving me crazy. Maybe I should take a break. 😄

Studio Community 3 months agoThree Point Perspective
Just finished 3 Point Perspective Lessons which are getting harder and more challenging, But I am enjoying it 😂
-
@fjienarta I really admire your commitment. From now on the course will take you in another direction. I really did find the perspective challenge’s not that easy and comfortable as well. But in the end it helps later on. 😉

That’s awesome, Frenky! 😊 Three point perspective is definitely one of the more challenging topics, but you’re doing a fantastic job. I can see your confidence growing with every exercise, and your building sketches are looking more solid each time. Keep enjoying the challenge. Once perspective clicks, it opens up so many possibilities for… Read more

This was very enjoyable to draw. It was nice to watch all of the little details turn a blank piece of paper into something of interest.

First of all… wow, @larry 👏🐝
The detail in the bee’s fuzzy body is incredible, and the textures and shading give it a real sense of depth. The delicate wing veins are beautifull, and the contrast throughout the piece makes it really stand out. I like it very much.- View 1 reply

Studio Community 4 months agoHello! <3
Hey artists! After about 20 hours, I finally finished this drawing. I’m not 100% satisfied with it, but since it’s my first piece in this format (100×70), I don’t want to be too hard on myself either 🙂 It looks much better in real life, and I’m sure it will look really nice on the wall 😀 What do you think?
P.S. I definitely need to work on my…

Beautiful drawing Anastasia. Very well done. I can’t imagine what your drawing would look like if you took your time.

I honestly think you’re being too hard on yourself. For a first piece at this size, it’s an outstanding achievement. The level of realism is impressive, especially the skin tones, and the wet, melting effect flowing over the face. The contrast between the smooth skin and the glossy liquid is beautifull and creates a striking… Read more

Anastasia, this is absolutely stunning! For your first drawing in such a large format, you should be incredibly proud. The mood, contrast, and expression are all beautifully captured, and the water effect adds so much drama. I also think you made a great observation about your pace. Slowing down is one of the best ways to improve, and… Read more

Thank you all the great people here for the inspiration and support!!! This was drawn from a reference image…. But I loved the smoothness of the skin and the alignment of the hair… the sharp features of the subject!!!
Some appreciation from fellows and some critics from @alihaiderrehman please 😅

Abbasi, first of all, this is a beautiful portrait! 😊 The smooth skin, flowing hair, and clean shading create a very elegant look. You should be proud of this one. You’ve done a fantastic job. I can clearly see your progress with every drawing. Keep it up! ❤️

Studio Community 4 months agoDandelion
Work and painting have both been quite demanding lately, and after several challenging portraits I felt like creating something lighter. This dandelion with its resting water droplet was exactly that, a calm, quick, and refreshing piece to draw. Sometimes the simplest subjects are the most restorative.

Beautiful work @SEDITH . I really like the idea of returning to a simple subject after tackling more demanding portraits. The water droplet is exceptionally well rendered, with stunningly realistic reflections. It’s a great reminder that sometimes the simplest subjects can be the most rewarding to create—and to admire. Brilliant IMHO 👏💧

Hey artists! I decided to start something new, but I wanted to make it a bit more exciting, so I chose a 100 × 70 cm format this time! 😄 I’ll definitely share it with you once it’s finished!
What are you all working on at the moment? I’d love to hear about your current drawings! 😊View more comments-

I thought I was done with doing fruit after taking an art class in college 😆 I’m learning a lot so far. I didn’t know a brush would be so good for blending.

@Lori Good work !! I love those small details on the fruits 👍

@Lori Nicely done. Looks very real to me. I discovered the brushes when starting Ali’s courses but had to find out the hard way that they don’t all work for our purpose. I had to buy a whole bench of them to finally end up with just a couple that do the job. 👏😉
