Studio Community 5 months agoAnother redraw I needed to do.
So this is a drawing from the simple and complex forms section 2:13. I have been working on increasing my contrast in this drawing. I tried to apply in this drawing was sharper edges and clearer value groups..which i hope i did.. please let me know how i did 😁 the 1st image is the old drawing and the 2nd is the one that I just redrew

There is a definite difference. Really nice improvement. Very sharp contrast and you blended it beautifully and have very smooth transitions from dark to light. Very impressive! Keep it up.

Hi Pita
What a nice improvement. It would be interesting to see how much difference it would make to the overall drawing if you added a shadow of the object on your paper.😏

With great anxiety I’ve to my finals, Thank you Ali for your expertise without which I would never do it on my own. To Larry and all my fellow students, thanks for your encouragement.

Heel goed Ashok, er zou hier en daar nog wat donkerder contrast mogen dan springt het van de tafel af 😁👍🏼

Looks pretty nice. I’m not yet that far in the course. But as Annemie said maybe a little bit more contrast between the table and the objects IMHO. But you don’t have to take it from a starter as myself. I find it once again pretty good and charming.

Good proportions and nice contrast on the guitar. Well done

Studio Community 5 months agoLesson 21: Back and Forth Stokes
This was a fun lesson for me! I lightly touched my paper and allowed the back-and-forth stroke to build up the shadow as Ali suggested.
