So I went back on my landscape geometric assignment and redrew it. I hope i fixed what needed to be fixed haha 🙂 so i was really concentrating on contrast here and I was really struggling haha and I was trying to even out my values too.. please review 🙂 congratulations to Ali on the marriage !! This looks like a huge improvement, you can really see the effort you put into controlling your values and contrast here. The depth between the foreground trees, midground shapes, and distant mountains is much clearer now, and the atmosphere feels soft and natural. You handled the gradients in the sky and snow very nicely, it gives a calm mood… Read more

This is looking really strong already, especially the eyes and eyebrows, they have a lot of life and sharpness to them✨ The contrast there works really well and draws attention nicely. The nose transition into the cheeks also feels soft and natural 👍
The glasses are placed well and the perspective looks correct, and the lips have a nice… Read more

Studio Community 7 months agoLesson 21 Back and Forth Stroke Technique
Nice lesson. It was nice to combine different techniques while doing the orange to give a realistic look. This is just a lesson but in the future I know I need to spend more time to create a masterpiece. I’m ready for the next lesson.

Great work Alejandro 😊
You’re really understanding how to combine techniques, and it clearly shows in your result. The orange looks natural and well observed, and your control over the strokes is improving nicely. I also love your mindset here, focusing on learning now and aiming for a masterpiece later is exactly the right approach. You’re… Read more

Martin this is such a powerful concept… wow. 😮✨
The way you’ve blended realism with the cracked glass effect is seriously impressive, especially that eye it pulls you in instantly.
If I can suggest one small thing, try pushing the contrast a bit more around the cracks so they feel even sharper and more “cutting” against the skin. But… Read more2- View 1 reply
